Rationale: Kink is a form of counter-cultural pleasure practice that consenting adults engage in worldwide. While many consider kink to be very physical and heavy on the sensory experience, the predominant aspect of kink is its mental and emotional headspace. Many kinksters don’t stop to critically reflect on and consider why they engage in the practices they do, why they give them pleasure, and what the implications of these practices are for themselves, their community, and the world. As a kink educator, it is my primary interest to guide kinksters into these reflections with the goal of constructing new understandings of kink and of the world through our understanding of kink.
